A Little Patience Goes a Long Way

Last week: 37 miles
Saturday: 8 miles
Weather: Perfect – 80° low humidity

The weather has been extremely nice the majority of days this summer, which helps tremendously in wanting to run. I just want to get out there!

Work is stressful in the respect that we have these crazy-quick deadlines — all day long I'm designing in high gear. When it's beautiful and sunny when I get home at 6:00 pm, I want to run.

Despite all the little-big-deal things that have been setting me back, I found a groove that allows me to enjoy running once again.

Having patience is in the front of the line — do not push too hard. I have accepted that at this time, I have no speed. I'm going the distance, as they say, but slowly. When my iron is back up I'll feel it. And speed only aggravates my hamstring.

Heart-wise, it was a kick-back weekend. Relaxing. Shopping with my mom on Saturday and designing a website on Sunday. Completely enjoyable!

Happy Monday.
