As you know, this past year really has been challenging for me to run and feel good about it.
I'm still dealing with a high hamstring pull and trying to get back up to speed since my iron was low - lots of frustration. Being diligent taking an iron supplement and being conscious of my form has helped me improve — at least has allowed me to run a few runs, recently, that make me feel as though I haven't lost all the training I had in the bank.
So, I signed up for the Chicago Marathon and got in the lottery with my 2013 Boston PR, 3:39. I'm very excited to get back into training with a purpose.
Dare I say my goal is to run it in 3:30?
Happy running!
