Truths about marathon achievement from Hal Higdon's ultimate training guide:

Truth 1: progressively longer runs will get you to the finish line

Truth 2: scheduling rest days is the key to staying healthy

Truth 3: taking one step back allows you to take two steps forward


And then I read Juli Bobman's quote that training for a marathon is not spontaneous,
"I learned the difference between life happening around you and making life happen."

Wow.
