Running Log

Last Saturday officially marks the start of my training for the Chicago Marathon.

From now on my distance will increase by 2 miles each Saturday.
(if you haven't been reading my running log, i will get you up to speed...no pun intended...the longest distance i have ever run is 14 miles)

Am I scared?
A little.

But what is the worst that can happen from trying?

Am I excited?
Absolutely.

Did I ever mention I love a challenge?

Last Saturday: 10 miles

I don't think I have ever sweat so much in my life. It was hot and humid at 7am and for the first time ever I really could have used one of those terry sweat bands across my forehead. I was actually dripping at the elbows!

I know! It grossed me out too.

Well, welcome to my journey into the mileage...
