I'm ready.
Today I am ready :)
Lisa, coach extraordinaire, gave a lecture at our local running store about before, during, and after the race. The store was packed with people who will be running the marathon. Wow.
Not to mention, there are about 44,000 people registered to run...
I know!
I know. I probably have been acting like the first woman to ever have a baby. I mean the first person to ever run a marathon, but hey, it's new to me. And very exciting for me.
(oh, so many similarities between pregnancy and training for a marathon...let me count the ways after the delivery, I mean the race.)
Back to the lecture...yeah, yeah, the carb load before. But a power word or phrase during?
Mind games, I tell ya.
This would be the word or phrase to use when those negative thoughts creep in, when you're talking to jesus around mile 18, mile 20, etc...something like fabulous, be strong, I can do this...
Ok, she's the pro. She's run 30 marathons. Couldn't hurt to have one handy, right?
Hmmm...what should it be?
(And yes, ipods are allowed, thank goodness. My friends, Two Door Cinema Club, can run with me.)
