Last week: 19.5 total miles
As of this past Wednesday, I am finally feeling like me again, besides a few coughing fits.
After an 11 mile run on Saturday, I felt great, but probably over did it and felt icky again on Sunday and super tired on Monday.
The marathon is in 8 days.
Within the last 3 weeks I have only run about 5 times :( This week I am tapering: 6 miles today, 7 tomorrow, and a quality short run on Tuesday and Wednesday and then...that is it!
Oh, yeah, the carb load starting on Wednesday. Almost forgot. Mentally, I'm in a different place than I was for my first marathon.
I have been recalling my last few long runs, feeling strong, keeping a good pace. Remembering, I can do this.
And hope everything will come together race day...
