Today is a vacation day.
Spring break for my kids.
Annie is in France.
Noah is accounted for.
And I have the day off after a wonderful sunny Sunday hanging out with friends.
Yesterday I ran the Shamrock Shuffle 8k in Chicago. It is always such a fun race! I went with friends, met friends and met some new people.
8k/4.97 miles:
35:13 finishing time
A PR for me. Almost 5 minutes faster than last year (40:31).
I could not have improved as much as I have without Lisa, coach extraordinaire. Everyone in our running group has improved tremendously, no matter where they started in their ability to what their running goals are — always improvement.
Joining Lisa's running group is one of the top things I have ever done for myself. It awoke the runner in me that was asleep for almost 20 years.
I just love it.
Carpe Diem!
