2 Weeks Until The Boston Marathon



Last week: 36 total miles
Listening to: King Charles, Flo Rida, Django Django/Default
Saturday: 13 miles, 36 degress and sunny

This ^ came in the mail last week and I got a little flip in my stomach. It's hard to believe that the Boston Marathon is 2 weeks from today!

I am starting my taper—running lower miles—getting rested and ready.

Since the start of my training, the week of December 10th, to today, I have run 447 miles. That's almost unbelievable, right? And with all the daily and weekly workouts, I kind of forgot about the big picture and what it means to have qualified for Boston — a silly little goal I had when I first joined my running group a few years ago, that I was embarrassed to tell my coach and held out for a while.

It's customary to blow out your birthday candles and make a wish. I believe you need say that wish out loud. Because saying it out into the universe, it is more likely to come true. Other people knowing your wish may help it come true.

After I told my coach I wanted to run the Boston Marathon, the wish was set in motion.

And it's coming true (with some work of course!).
